NORTH COUNTRY FIDDLE ORCHESTRA arrangements

Hello friends,
What is a FIDDLE ORCHESTRA? I was first introduced to this idea when I was invited as a special guest to the Vermont Fiddle Orchestra under the direction of my friend David Kaynor.

THE MORE THE MERRIER

If someone wants to play music with others, I want to try to make that possible. That means having arrangements that can accomodate different instruments, different learning styles (following sheet music, playing by ear), beginners, folks playing a second instrument.

KNOW MELODY LINE AND BASS LINE

All instrument will be able to sing, hum or whistle the melody. All instrumements will be able to play the bass line/chords. This is important to me.

Notes on the melody. This is written for a fiddle. If a treble instrument finds anything out of range or awkward, play up or down an octave or modify the line. This is not an issue in fiddle music.
