Album reviews for “LIVE from Hill & Hollow” are starting to come in! Always an exciting time. As an American playing Celtic music, two reviews gave me extra wide smiles; FATEA Magazine from England and The Living Tradition Magazine from Scotland.

There were many feel good moments in both these lovely reviews, but one sentance in FATEA, in particular, really made my heart flutter. “There are probably hunderds of recording of The Banks of Lough Gowna, but I would wager you won’t find many to match this one.”

Wow. This means a lot to me. I have always felt like one of Koehler & Kelly’s strenghts is that we play old tunes with new grooves. And, heck, who doesn’t want to have a definitive version of a tune. So to get the thumbs up from our friends across the pond, where many of our tunes are from, was wonderful.
