CONTRA DANCE: Blog

Hello all!! Gosh a beautiful drive today!!!!! Mark Seymore (percussion) and I are heading downstate while Daniel heads upstate… and we meet in the middle…to hit a few dances before we play the main stage at the Dance Flurry in Saratoga Springs, NY in the winter! Glad to play the dances where I first “sat in” bands as a young girl, my old stompin’ grounds of Amherst, MA! We’ll also “balance & swing” in Albany, NY and I sure hope the dancers request one of my favorite couple dances, the hambo! So beautiful to watch. Reminds me of the saying, “Hug a musician, they never get to dance!”
