PBS Soundscapes feat. Koehler & Kelly
Koehler & Kelly were honored to be invited to perform for a new PBS series called SOUNDSCAPES. The show features our concert along with stunning aerial footage of the Adirondack Mountains of Northern New York and will share the beauty of our region with viewers in Northeastern US and Canada.
In April, 2021, Daniel drove up from Southern NY to meet me in Northern NY at he historic 1924 Strand Center for the Arts in Plattsburgh. We were met my a small, vaccinated crew from Mountain Lake PBS and recorded our concert set on stage to the grand, empty hall. Like so many venues, this beautiful location had been empty for well over a year.
Not gonna lie, it was amazing for us to film a concert in a different location than our living rooms! The setting was absolutely beautiful, the acoustics were wonderful and it was a joy to play a concert together in person.
The series first aired in Northern New York and Eastern Canada on Mountain Lake PBS, Saturday, OCTOBER 23, 6 PM, EST. (See full episode here.)
